    Bravo! A Work of Art

The media could not be loaded.

Challenging yet rewarding. I was intimidated at first but after my husband put me on the right path as far as directions go it got easier. I used tacky glue instead of the strips that were provided and hot glued everything down at the end. Every thought and detail that went into this is simply amazing. Can’t wait to do another one!

Had a lot of fun- not for anyone easily frustrated

I had a lot of fun putting this together. As others have said the instructions aren’t super clear, I wouldn’t recommend this for a kid or someone easily frustrated. It if you love crafting, have a super pair of tiny scissors and your own tweezers (the kit comes with a pair, but they aren’t good), you will likely enjoy this. Just pay close attention to the pieces you use and their orientation. Once I had to take something apart because I guessed the wrong wood piece and as you can see my floor is different, because I glued the paper flooring on the wrong side (easy enough to find doll house flooring I could print-and I like the wood floor better anyway). Overall this was fun though and besides the different flooring I added a few other small touches like a pic of my grand baby instead of the one in the kit and my own rug. Other than that the clear glue that comes with the kit is amazing, I wish I knew what it was though because it took me about 6 weeks to put this together in my free time and by the end the clear glue was really drying out and almost unusable. I will surely get other versions of the kit and maybe try putting the clear glue in something with a better seal.

PLEASE read this if you plan on building Cathy’s Greenhouse

The media could not be loaded.

So here’s the thing. This is a gorgeous kit, but it is going to absolutely test your patience. This isn’t a 5 hour build. It is not a 10 hour build. Plan on spending 25 – 30 hours at least. BUT – there are a few tips that will save your blood pressure down the line (especially #4 and #6 below):1) Hand sanitizer is decent at removing glue. You’ll want this when you accidentally get glue all over the plastic panes. I’m told acetone also works well, but it might also erase the black lines so use it with caution.2) There are a handful of walkthrough videos on YouTube. You WILL want to reference these as the instructions are not always clear on assembly.3) Some extra tools are going to be super helpful, have paper towels, Q-tips, and a working surface (I used a cardboard sheet) handy**4**) The final assembly is the hardest. To make final assembly easier, I STRONGLY recommend using a knife (or dremel if you have one) to make the holes/sockets *wider* than they come by default. When you assemble the plastic portion of the greenhouse, you glue some brown pieces to the base of the plastic sheets. Some of these brown pieces have slots in them – for when you perform the final assembly. Use your knife/dremel and make these slots LARGER before you glue them to the plastic. Same with the final base itself – make the receiving slots wider. It is going to make assembly a *million* times easier and save you from throwing your greenhouse out the window (or accidentally crushing it during assembly) in frustration.5) The plastic sheets of the greenhouse have protective film on them. Keep the plastic ON while you’re glueing everything together, but take it OFF before you glue the black trim on. The instructions are not very clear about this. Cut along the edges with a sharp knife to make removal easier6) When it comes to the wiring, do NOT hard wire to the battery pack until you are assembling the final circuit box in the back. Again the instructions aren’t clear about this and I had to make some manual modifications to get the wires to fit properly. Plus – it’s annoying to manipulate the greenhouse with the battery pack attachedI would recommend this, but it is NOT for the impatient. Take your time, save it for rainy nights, build this over a few weeks or months and it will treat you well.

This was given to my very crafty 12 year old granddaughter. She loved having the challenge, but was grateful for the help of her dad to put it together. Alot of pieces came with this item but it was an amazing realistic miniature greenhouse.

This was my first ever dollhouse and I had a rough time with it (sparse instructions, finding the right pieces), probably should’ve started with a beginners kit. But I’m glad I took the chance on it, took me a week to complete and I love it!

If you love getting lost in a project check this out!

I received this as a gift & was thrilled to get started. This is definitely a multi hour/ day project. But once I got started I found it hard to stop. I used my own fast dry glue (purely my preference) & some super strong double stick tape for some of the items. It is true, the instructions are slightly vague but they are more detailed than what comes with the Swedish furniture I’ve assembled. Overall I enjoyed the process & have already ordered another set.

    Nice kit

This was not the easiest thing to do but came together very well. Maker has attention on detail. But still room to make minor changes. Will make a lot of little parts. Quite a few flowers to fold. Looks great when its done. Lights look great. Had a good time doing it. Well made good packaging. No broken parts. Instructions were easy to follow but were little vague with descriptions. Great product would get another.

    Seems like a good kit

I bought this as a gift, so I can’t speak to the detail of the product. I love the design and idea of this product. I was pleased to see it is well packaged, with a nice picture on the front, and in shrink wrapped plastic. One thing I found disappointing is they put the packing label right in the middle of the image. Oh well, not that big of a deal. (Photo included. The remote is covering my personal details.) It still seems like it will be a fun kit that I am excited to give as a gift.

    So cute but beware

This is so cute, but be aware that this may not be great for small children. I got this for my adult sister, so that was completely fine, however the level of diy that this is would likely be far too much for a small child. Absolutely everything has to be built. Which is extremely satisfying and I love this set so much, but again this would probably make a small child lose their mind.

    Loved it !!

The media could not be loaded.

This was a good quality build for a mini! Definitely may be a bit of a challenge for newbies or if you have little patience. There’s a lot of small pieces that need to be made and it will certainly take time – depending on your speed and how much time you give to the project. It’s not one that you can build in a couple hours. I usually take my time and dedicate a few hours here and there when I can. I live in Canada and this particular build came with a good strong glue which I used for mostly for the wood panels and whatever else needed a strong hold. I also used a couple other glues I have and it worked fine for some of the smaller additions. It’s only my 2nd build but I have alot of patience and don’t mind working with small pieces. I did mess up a little but was able to make adjustments. The light fixture was no where near as complicated as another one I did, so I’m very grateful it worked. I would 1000% purchase another mini build from this place. So happy with the final product. Video and 1st 2 pictures are just to show the light, the last 2 are the finish product – 10 /10 recommend

This is such a great diy craft! It comes with latex paint and glue (the glue is stringy but not a big deal, just wipe it with a paper towel) I liked this glue for these miniatures because it doesn’t really get stuck on your fingers, it’s easy to work with. There are so many miniatures to work on. Really loved it!

    Legos on Steroids

I’ve been a huge Lego nerd since my son was a toddler and this is way more fun! I made a few mistakes, but it looks fine for the first kit ever. I’m now working on Dora’s Loft, I have decided to up the challenge and change the color palate, and I’ve carefully spray-painted all the pieces in different colors and plan to make Dora a little more edgy. I’ll leave a review with photos in about a month. HA!

    Challenging but rewarding

This was a really fun project that forces you to take your time. Based on other reviews I purchased a turbo drying glue pen and a craft kit with tweezers and an exacto knife which I really couldn’t have done this without. You also need a millimeter ruler (I printed one out). It’s really important to measure everything carefully because they don’t give you much extra in terms of supplies. The hardest part was getting the exterior and the interior together but as long as everything is correct it WILL fit (but be careful with the hose and faucet on the wall!). The most fun part was putting all the pieces together and seeing it come to life.

    A lot of fun

This was my first time building something like this, and I really enjoyed it. It does require patience and steady hands, and I did have to buy some extras for easier assembly including: watch batteries for the lighting, craft glue, needle nose pliers, a ruler, and some smaller craft scissors. Definitely worth the money if you’re looking for something to keep your hands busy, and enjoy crafting.

    Not for beginners

I enjoy crafts and consider myself pretty adept at Origami so figured I would give this little greenhouse a go. In a word – WOW – it’s absolutely enjoyable and I found myself getting very zen in the hours I spent working on the pieces, but also – WOW – it was a lot harder than I thought. There were a few details where the instructions went away and I had to find a workaround but I was pleased with the final result. If I could offer any advice it would be to read ahead and then re read what you just did to insure you didn’t miss anything.

    Wow!

I haven’t completed this model just yet, but wow! For a first time model building experience, I was overwhelmed at first. The best piece of advise I can give is to organize the pieces needed to build each part by placing them in zip-lock baggies prior to assembly. The box is chaotically organized. To build just one item in the kit, you will be going into 3-4 different bags just to find the necessary items. I’m not sure why they organize it this way, but dang! It is chaotic in terms of organization. The building isn’t too bad so far, I am enjoying myself! However, take your time! Otherwise you could make a mistake and regret it as there is no replacement pieces. So far I haven’t made any mistakes – luckily! The ‘directions’ aren’t very detailed and you must pay close attention to the detail in the instructions provided – especially the visual details! There isn’t much written direction.

    Very cute when it’s finished!

I bought this and built it for my daughter. It was way more intricate and detailed than I expected but it was worth it I think. It took quite a lot of time to complete, and sometimes was frustrating, but I’m glad I did it! Oh, and the customer service I’d phenomenal, quick response and ready &willing to help. I recommend as long as you have the patience and tenacity to complete. Oh, and tools, you’ll need tools. Tweezers, cutters, scissors, self-healing mat and x-acto knife, and a ruler are handy to have. I used a glue gun, and wood glue too. Oh, measurements are in metric, millimeters. It’s challenging, and therapeutic at the same time.

The absolute best project. I got Kathy’s Garden and couldn’t be happier with my first choice. After working on a few of the smaller items I started to assemble my own with other wood and materials I have and am putting a twist on the greenhouse. Removing some things and adding your own can really turn out wonderful. Changed the colors of the flooring and walls and made my own plants and furniture. Will be buying more from this company and others from different company’s until I have a town of mini houses and gardens.

Hi! I’m 32 year old female that was gifted this from a friend. I could not have had more fun doing this!So the directions are great, they could absolutely be better but they work well enough. I’d gotten stuck on plenty of spots not quite understanding what the directions meant but after fiddling and studying the images and my pieces, i got it all figured out. There’s only one set of directions at the very end that has you putting the wires to the light through a hole, which you can’t do because they are connected and glued on two ends, but I simple cut a piece in the hole to fit the wires through.Overall this was a great and I think this makes a great hobby to get into! 🙂

    So tiny and entertaining

This DIY house is so detailed. It’s definitely a novice to pro and NOT for beginners, but I would ABSOLUTELY buy again!

Too Much Fun. Please Someone Stop Me.

Complete novice here! I’m very crafty but new to this kind of construction. This kit is spectacular. I got lost in making it! The instructions are detailed photographs, which is just excellent practice. They do rely on some common sense and ingenuity, but they’re largely very straightforward and easy to skirt around and adapt if you’re having trouble. The end product is just fabulous. It took me a few weeks to complete, and I’d say around 50 hours total. But oh my goodness is it WORTH IT! I’m overwhelmed with pride at my little world I built. They give you plenty of extra material and everything is really high quality. I’m shocked the price is as low as it is!I recommend an x-acto knife, some extra clear fast-drying glue, some more tweezers, a ruler, and maybe some paperweights to be able to press things where needed. Could certainly do this kit with just some scissors, but I highly recommend the x-acto!I loved doing this kit, and have already ordered my next one to start!

Great little project for a patient, detail oriented person

I don’t often feel compelled to write Amazon reviews but I really enjoyed this! It feels sturdy and everything fit together well. Instructions do require a bit of attention because they’re not super detailed but even for my very first miniature I found it manageable. You do need some tools that are not included, make sure you have small pliers and wire cutters, good pointed metal tweezers, craft glue, and I highly recommend detail scissors and needle tip bottles for the glue. My only complaint is that the instructions say that the glue is not included but the batteries are by my package did contain glue and did NOT have batteries, so I had to go buy my own.

So much fun and has lots of details!

I am always amazed how these kits never miss one tiny part but they don’t! This one was fun and you make lots of flowers! Took a few weeks or so, working on it a few hours each evening. Purchased the other versions as well to do next! Instructions are clear and easy to follow but you sometimes need to be creative and problem solve. I will say the plastic “house” part was difficult and I wanted to toss it in the trash when getting to that part. I did use my cricut to cut the molding pieces that finalize the house and added a few of my own details to some of the pieces. I enjoy making each kit “my own” and adding details here and there. The flower making part did start to get old and I am going to hold off on a kit in the near future that is flower intensive. It is a flower greenhouse, I know but it did get tiresome by the sixth page of just flowers. Overall, fun and people enjoyed looking at all of the many details! Maybe not a kit for beginners though or maybe it is bc you get a lot of practice doing similar pieces.

    Very detailed and thorough set

I cannot think of anything left out of this model set that would be in a real greenhouse. The detail is terrific and the thought that must have gone into its being is fantastic. I have only begun to put the smaller objects of it together but I am having a great time doing that. The instuctions are clear and precise plus everything is labeled so well. You get all the necessary tools for assembly but I did purchase separate some tacky glue and an exacto knife. I saw this recommendation in someone else’s post, so I did get those items too. All is going well and I will probably buy more projects of the same series when I finish this one. Good size and quality for displaying on a shelf or mantle piece.

    So cute

I was excited to make Cathy’s greenhouse but wow it takes a lot of patience and time. Well worth it in the end. The directions were ok had a hard time keeping the clear plastic in place but other then that it took me a weekend to complete and came out great.

    Lots of fun!

Really enjoyed making this mini green house. Took me a few days over a few weeks to finish. Definitely have to be willing to let go and trust the process. I ended up using some of my own tweezers etc. and some hot glue. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and bought some other ones to try.

Just buy and try to build it!

After reading all the reviews I decided to try and build this cute miniature greenhouse. It is my first and it’s not perfect ,but I love the finished product. I am 65 and my hand control isn’t what it once was but with a lot of patience, I got it done. Worked at it a few minutes a day. Slow and steady. Can’t believe I hardly had any help with the light! The only advice I have, is to purchase better glue, good scissors, and better tweezers! Some of the paper plants didn’t work out but I just made it my own. All in all a very relaxing craft to do. Just bought a second one, wish me luck it works out as well!

    A great build

This was my first miniature I’ve ever tried and I found it fairly easy. You just need the time and motivation to get it done. I do recommend buying some super glue beforehand and using that instead of their tape. You’ll also need a scalpel/ knife and a good pair of scissors. Fairly high quality and truly DIY no need to worry about mistakes or follow the design perfectly because it will still look great.

Important to know That this will take time and patience! But it was enjoyable 🙂

The media could not be loaded.

Everything was easy to do the only thing is that the flowers take time to do but it can be done 🙂 was a great distraction! And I did do things a little different than what was instructed to do 😁

    Amazing!

Loved it! 😍 more on the way!Challenging. Read all instructions. Pay attention to details of assembly. Take your time and allow items to dry or you will find you have to redo it. Feels great to have done this for my first one! I visited the Rolife website and found a few more that Amazon doesn’t have yet.

Read the directions a couple times before you start.

This was my first mini. I loved it. It was rewarding and it’s so cute when finished. I missed a couple of steps, because I wasn’t used to the way the directions are laid out. The light might feel intimidating, but it really isn’t. I have zero electrical experience but follow the directions and you’ll be fine. I loved the glue provided. It’s tacky and can be stringy, but it holds together well and it gives you a few minutes to reposition, in case you messed up. The stringy part was super annoying though. The nearly invisible strings would be attached to the little leaves or flowers and all of a sudden the flower would fly across the table. I do suggest you get a syringe with a decently wide tip for the glue. It’s so much easier to control the amount.

    Very fun and time consuming

I really enjoyed building this. I messed up a couple times with the wiring but that was on my part for not paying better attention to details. It took me a couple days to put it together and was worth it! I really like building things, especially tiny things! I highly recommend having a big work surface and something to protect it because it can get a little messy

    Complete Kit w/instructions

Bought this for my granddaughter. Will be helping her put together. Has so many cute little items with it, that would cost so much more if bought separately. Comes with a thick easy to read instruction booklet.
