Fun truck for anyone

I have had other haiboxing products and they are always great. Good quality, good value, and fun. You won’t be disappointed with this one. It drives great, even in deep grass, handles well (it can turn in really tight and small areas), but is really fun in light offroad areas where you have a little loose ground (for lost of sliding and peel outs and 360 spins). It can be driven by a beginner (in slow mode), or by someone who has more skills (in fast mode). It can also be driven my left or right-handed drivers by reversing the steering. Good all around vehicle for anyone. I highly recommend it!

The 18859 is an updated Rampage. I own the old version and it’s still working great. The new one is just as fun but with newer updated parts. Heftier bumpers, installed lights, wider stance, taller and wider wheels, adjustable spring tension shocks, bigger battery and just beefier plastic all the way around. Takes bashing well. Tall jumps, donuts and cartwheels and nothing has broken.Includes two main batteries so you have double the play time. Only thing you need to supply is two AA batteries for the transmitter.For the price, this beats any of the toy R/C cars you can find at a department store. Faster, more durable and you can buy replacement parts if something ever does break or if you want to upgrade it.

This new version of the Haiboxing 18859 is wicked tough and fast! And, it’s fully upgraded from the original, with metal axles, oil capped shocks, metal gear boxes, new easy access power switch and pre-installed bonus lighting package. The chassis is super tough and durable. I really gave it a bashing and it handled it with flying colors. The water resistant motor, servo and receiver make it great for mud runs. The super gripping tires can handle any kind of terrain. They have even upgraded the controller (something all of us Haiboxing fan boys complained about). The controller has more features and the car responds to it much better. Particularly in reverse, which was the biggest problem for me. The power of the battery gives you great run time. The EXTRA battery doubles it! This is a fairly common battery. So, you can get as much run time as you can handle by picking up a few more spares. And, Haiboxing is doing a great job of making extra batteries, replacement parts and upgrades readily available. Haiboxing (HBX) is definitely listening to it’s customers and really stepping up their game. I think that they are truly at the top of the heap now, with their new line up. They have really advanced themselves in the HOBBY GRADE cars now, leaving the toy grade to the companies that are only interested in making toys. The other guys have some catching up to do. I am VERY happy with Haiboxing and the new Monster Truck (formerly known as the Rampage)! Five stars!

Faster than expected for the price.
I bought this car so I can drive alongside my son. I drove it around for 20 minutes until I realized it has two speeds you can set. I probably should have read the directions. Out of the box It is set for slow mode on the remote. Once I put it in the normal mode, it was a blast.

Lots of fun for kids and adults…
For background, I played with hobby-grade RC cars ~30 years ago. With a child interested in the hobby, I searched for an affordable car with hobby-grade features at a reasonable price, but with enough speed and performance capability for me as an adult and for him to grow into. I bought two for Christmas (one for each of us). Several weeks in, so far so good! We’ve run them on carpeted and hardwood floors and also outdoors on asphalt, grass and dirt. These cars have handled all surfaces well. Thumbs up on the battery life, replaceable parts, customer service, and fun factor. These cars have a two-speed (slow/normal) setting, and honestly the slow is probably fun enough for most kids indoors, at least until they learn. In summary, great first near-hobby grade RC car for kids and the adults encouraging the fun!

We Love These Trucks!
My husband’s coworker is an RC aficionado, and he recommended these trucks as a solid “entry level” vehicle. Oh my gosh we can’t stop playing with them! We have totally tested their durability and power and they pass every test with flying colors. Jumps, slalom courses, speed races, “off roading” in the sand and mud, and got puddles? No problem! 5 year old grandson drives like a champ, a discovered the trucks can jump off the play house on the grass and survive (this was a ONE TIME “accidental” jump that we won’t be repeating, but the truck did great). We LOVE that you can strip them down and clean them, and I have to control my urge to keep them stock for now and not trick them out. Running 2 together is no problem, just power up one at a time. We have bought extra batteries so we can just swap them out, but the larger battery lasts a solid 2 hours on full throttle. I have no doubt that sooner or later we’ll expand our fleet.

Great little RC car
I bought this RC car after seeing a guy using his to exercise his dog. I’ve never been into RC items, so wanted an entry level car that was sturdy and has 4 wheel drive for rough terrain where we’re camping. The setup with battery is easy, though the connectors are a bit tight at first. It runs long enough on one battery to wear my mid size dog out, and they give you two batteries so one can be charging. It’s a sturdy, fast, fun car. Love it! Would be good for a preteen to learn RC manipulation. My dog absolutely loves it, but I’ve trained him to chase but not bite it. If he gets it in his mouth, he’d destroy it.

Perfect for my 5yr old
I have bought probably six cheaper remote control cars from either Walmart or Amazon. I was tired having my kids play with it and then have them break down in a week. Not to mention battery life was terrible and remotes not sinking up. Decided to spend a little more money on this car and could not be happier. It’s winter right now so my kid doesn’t play with it for very long but will play with it three or four times before the battery even dies. Can’t wait for summer so he can go outside and put it on the high speed!

I ended up using it more than my son
I got this as a Christmas gift for my son, and well let me tell you I use it more than he does. It is so enjoyable it brings me back to my youth. The different speed options are really so different. It drives over almost everything rarely gets flipped. Has good traction on almost all surfaces it’s just wonderful to use. Both my son and I have been having a blast. And the best part of any parts break you can purchase the part and replace the broken part. So that’s a plus for me.

Can’t believe my 6 year old has not destroyed this yet
We’ve ran through a bunch of RC cars, this one has been the best yet. It is very fast, has 2 settings, is super durable. The battery life is great and it has 2 of them so you can charge one when using the other. My only gripe is the pins that hold the cover on keep falling off but to fix this I just replace them with paper clips which can be bent so they don’t come off. I don’t know who has more fun with this car, me or my kid.

I bought one of these for my son’s 10th birthday and he LOVES it and had no problem getting the hang of handling it. The only issue we had was that I always wanted a turn too!!! So we bought a second one and the problem was solved. These things are SO much better than the remote control cars I grew up with and can do things I only imagined a much more expensive rc car could do. Super fast on pavement and unstopable off-road. Build some jimps and obstacles for it and have a blast. Makes me feel like a kid again, gets my kiddo off the video games for awhile, and has been an awesome way to spend some quality time with my boy. Priceless.

Great rugged, lightweight RC truck – very fun for my 7-yr old!
This thing goes pretty fast, even on the slow speed setting There are two speed settings: fast (for experts) and slow (for beginners). Truck is agile and has a great suspension system. On the slow speed setting the truck even drifts a bit on hard turns and can catch some air – fun! The overall lightweight allows the truck to get some air when going over our driveway and street curb. Handles my leaf filled grass yard easily and goes really fast on pavement. The super lightweight body that attaches to frame is really durable and flexible, looks like it will last forever. The truck also has LED running lights (function as headlights) included on front.Just a few little nit-picking issues I have noticed with truck (but don’t deter from overall satisfaction with product):1. the trim works great for correcting forward control but doesn’t match with backward control (will go perfectly straight fwd, but not-so-straight in rev on same trim setting).2. the plastic truck frame is super lightweight but have noticed some minor wear on the bottom of the frame from scraping driveway curb (scuffing) – but that’s part of the lightweight trade-off (a heavier aluminum frame vs the lighter plastic frame).3. the hand controller works great and easy to use but is all plastic. While the car may last for years and years, my fear is the controller may not if my 7-yr old drops it on the pavement a few times.Standard warning labels on box and paperwork say for 14+ yrs of age…. but my 7-yr old son has mastered this and has no issues using or enjoying it. (I do monitor him when he uses it – I assume the older age warning is because of the electrical parts and battery components.)Would recommend this for kids or adults and at this price point, I plan on buying another so “dad” can race!

Got this for my 5 year old for Christmas. He absolutely loves this thing. Best part it comes with 2 batteries so it’s in use A ton. We leave it in the slow mode but, it still quick. You know I had to teach him how to control it lol. It’s a cool bonding toy for us. It’s quick in slow mode. Pretty dang fast in normal mode. Very responsive. And built pretty tuff. My boy Full sent that thing down a flight of stairs in our house a couple of times. Still works great.

Great RC truck for beginners!
The speed of this truck is impressive, I did not expect it to kick up dust like it does! The battery life isn’t much of an issue as it comes with two batteries, I recommend having the other battery on the charger when using the truck so you have a fully charged back up battery. It is certainly great entertainment for all ages!

I love this RC truck! This thing is a blast to play with! I even got a 2nd one for my 8yr old son and we have a blast racing them and building obstacles for them to climb and jump over! Very well built and durable enough that it can survive multiple 4 foot drops! Highly recommend for beginners into the RC world. It’s not 100% water proof but if it gets wet just turn it off and disconnect the battery. Let it sit over night and by the next morning your ready to rip again! Totally worth the price!

I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered it. I unboxed it and it had a good stance, I charged the batteries and tried it out. This truck is fast, and is able to climb hills with no problem. Has a good suspension that is adjustable. So far the battery life has been great. The steering is great it is really responsive. The drive shaft is metal and appears to be solid. A fun toy to have, I highly recommend this item.

Great little truck for a reasonable price

Surprisingly quick!
This thing is a ton of fun. Bought for my 6 year old thinking it wouldn’t be that fast and was shocked at the performance. Does have a slow mode which is great for starting out. Lights are great, 4×4 is great, battery life is as expected. Some parts are much higher quality than I thought, others are slightly underwhelming. The steering has stuck a couple times, restarting the truck solved the problem. Overall very impressed for the price I paid (around $60 on sale).

This weekend I took this truck bashing in the dirt and mud puddles behind my house and it was a trooper. So many rolls, crashes, splashes, and it held up. And if something breaks I’m not that worried – parts for this are easy to find from HBX or other vendors.Standardized parts on the truck also means that you can also upgrade it to oil filled shocks if you like. The transmitter is basic enough for a kid a someone new to rc cars or trucks to figure out, with fast and slow speed settings. Motor is brushed, but it’s powerful enough to drive through low cut grass on the 2s battery as well.This is my second hbx truck and it did not disappoint for its price.

I waited for the price to drop to $69 and bought the 2 years extended warranty. This thing is fast and because the rear wheels drive about 70% of the torque, donuts are easy. My son needs to get his own maybe…much better than the last junk I had from Radclo…

There had to be something wrong with it, right? Something to complain about. Something. Anything.THE PURCHASEI bought the Hailstorm about a year ago and had loved it until the ESC stopped working so it was exciting to see that the 18859 which is the latest monster truck version had come out. I didn’t know all the differences until I took delivery and was pretty surprised by all the upgrades from the previous version.WHAT’S NEWUpon opening the box, I found 1 battery with the transmitter. To my surprise, the car itself had another battery! Two batteries included with this. Not only that, but I almost overlooked the fact that Haiboxing now includes a LiPo battery! Typically budget vehicles get shipped with Li-Ion batteries. The usual mod people do is to simply replace it with a new Li-Po, so it’s pretty cool that HBX included in the Li-Po to start with!The CVD’s are metal! Yup, the last version was plastic and metal was an upgrade part. They’re now included FREE! Camber has 3 adjustment holes for those that like to tinker with that sort of thing. Suspension still aren’t oil filled, but now preload can be adjusted. The top arm on each corner are now beefed up. Pretty significant difference. Overall, the rig is also wider. Body itself is also longer than the previous version. Most may not have noticed but the outdrive cups are a metal band providing further structural support. It’s all in the details.All these improvements makes for a more durable and better performing car. In fact, I ran this over selveral times for fun with my much heavier Arrma Big Rock which is a 1/10 scale monster truck and the 18859 did just fine. Kept on trucking (pun intended). Impressed that HBX went this far with their latest version of the 1/18 scale car w/o increasing the price. Thank you!DRIVING CHARACTERISTICSFirst off, it’s quiet! Way quiet. Maybe the last one was this quiet, but compared to some of the other cars I have, this is whisper quiet. The turning radius is tight. Surprisingly tight. So tight in fact that you can bust a donut from a standstill. No need to run it hard, turn one direction to gain the momentum, then turn it hard in the opposite direction to initiate the donut like you’d normally have to do.There’s not enough torque to perform a wheelie, but that’s not expected of a 2S budget RC car, particularly of this scale. Enough power to get some good speed with this though.PACKAGINGNicely packaged as always. Not sure who’s responsibility it was but my Amazon box did come damaged and the exterior of the HBX box inside was also damaged. No damage to the contents so nothing to complain about, but something I did experience on my personal purchase of the 18859.DECALSThis deserves its own category b/c HBX actually provided two sets of headlights and two sets of tail lights! Pick and choose your favorite! I ended up using the unused set on another car which further improved the aesthetics of that one so thanks again HBX.OVERALLVery satisfied with this. Budget cars aren’t supposed to be this good. I wasn’t even ready to say all this. Was expecting it to be slightly better than mediocre as the reputation of HBX is pretty good but there are a lot of improvements in this iteration of the 18859 to make this almost like a new car. Remember how far the Toyota Camry has come since back in the day? It’s like that but HBX style.WHO IS THIS FOR?I don’t doubt it’s durability, particularly with the wider stance, thicker chassis and thicker arms. Truly a hobby grade rc car with a budget conscious price. If you like to mod cars, you have that option with the 18859. Upgrade to oil filled shocks. Install some adjustable turn buckles. Great for kids too b/c it has a slow mode feature. Adjust between slow and normal for developing drivers to novice. I think this is the perfect car if you’re a parent looking to get a car for both yourself and your kid but only plan on getting one vehicle to share. Best of both worlds.

Great starter RC truck
Bought two of these for young kiddos (4 and 7). They are similar to Traxxas or other fun racing cars, but a little slower. They have a normal and a slow mode for when they are practicing with them or driving indoors. The transmitters are kind of a cheap plastic but I figured they would be a good starter and much more affordable than some of the 200-300 dollar RC cars. They have solid metal axle and the 4 wheel drive works well around the dirt and mud, but some of the plastic parts could break if you are not careful with them. Having to keep reminding them to treat them a little better than a generic RC car. Our little one stepped on the back tire of one and bent the shock just enough to make the shock get stuck extended, but it seems you can order replacement parts easily and its a good experience for them to learn to take care of and maintain a little car. They are way better and faster than any RC toy you will be able to get from Walmart or such, but require a little care to keep in good shape. You can drive more than one car at a time as long as you follow the directions and pair the car and remote properly to each car, one at a time. Its easy enough for the kids to do it. They have great controllability and super fun to drive around. I might buy another one for myself to drive with them.

Fast, tough, and fun.
Bought for 7 year old son. It has a slow setting that he used for about one battery charge. On fast speed it looks and act’s just like a trophy truck. I like that it is upgradable, but it would be cool if it came with a catalog for upgrades. To upgrade to a brushless motor is almost the same price as the car after you factor in all the stuff to make the motor go. The shocks are cheap but dialed in pretty good. If you hit whoops up to speed, your loosing control and rolling it. Speed control and steering are perfect. For the price under $100 to see if my son is interested in a legit rc truck?well worth it! I’m going to buy one for my self and will probably spend a little more for a brushless setup.

A piece has become disconnected twice from some crazy jumps off of a ramp we set up, but those were easily repairable and it keeps going strong. My son told me it’s probably the best toy they’ve ever had. It will even go through moderately tall grass with the 4×4. It’s not the biggest at the 1:18 ratio, but we find it’s a great size for our driveway and yard. We are planning on ordering another one so they can play at the same time! Cheers!

Great starter RC Truck
The truck has a switch for beginners and after they get the basics down you can flip the switch and double the output of the truck. I am really impressed with the durability for the price. We bought this for my son on his 11th birthday and we immediately took it camping were he cycled each battery at least 10 times over a 2 day period. But what most impressed me was when i caught him completely submerging the truck in lake water. I told him that it was not a good idea, and referred to the packaging where it stated that the truck was only splash proof. Well after being completely submerged several times with no consequences, and after the straight up beating the truck took, I am impressed.

Amazing truck
Christmas gift for my 11 yo and he is obsessed. He has become an expert driver and can do spins, drifts, bootlegger reverse (I’m told these are things, can only say he is amazing at driving it). His dad and his grandpa are jealous and ask for turns. Definitely a log order above the $30 tier RC vehicles. Can upgrade–great Intro for a kid this age who is getting a bit more serious about RC vehicles!

Great little truck.
This truck is 1:18 scale and pretty fast. I play with it more than my son and its been flipped and ran into trees but still keeps going. The controls speed adjustment really helps beginners get accustomed to controlling at low speeds before the move up to the fast speeds. My only warning is to be mindful of flipping b/c the chassis clips may fall out.

The box says 1:18 but I let my 2 year old use it and she cried for hours when it ran her over. They should change the age to 12:18 in my opinion. Other than that it’s awesome!

These are very nice rc off road trucks. My kids and I have a blast with the couple we have. They go through st Augustine grass with ease and go pretty fast. My only complaint is the little cotter type pins that fall out and you only have so many. These rc trucks have taken a beating since Christmas and still haul

A fun thing to have when killing time with a friend

I liked the 1/18 scale size cause it’s easy to put it in a backpack and transport. I ordered oil filled shocks for it so that will be the first upgrade. Very quick and just right for it’s size. Haven’t used it that many times but happy with it, especially for the price! I notice that these bashers are not sealed from the debris churned up from the wheels and a lot of the dirt and grass gets collected all over the battery tray, esc, motor so I cut up an old pocket camera bag that matched the size of the tray and it really made a big difference in the amount of debris, very little. I punched some holes in the front for ventilation and left the back open.Battery life is good, seems to be verydurable and good for anyone with it’s 2 speed switch.

Great intro RC fun for beginners
Got this for my son’s 7th birthday and did not know exactly what to expect. Price was a motivating factor, as were the reviews, however I did not know how it would stand up to my 7 yo, 9 yo and especially my 4 yo. So far it has taken a beating and still going like new, so that in itself is spectacular! I must say as well, that little RC truck is fun! It is fast, it is tough and I always make up a reason why they let me have a turn when they bring it outside. Cannot wait to get another…for my sons, yes strictly for my sons! 🙂

I bought one for my 2 sons (6 and 8) both picked it up immediately, I love having the fast and slow mode. It makes it very fun and easy to learn. We have been getting 30 to 40 minutes play time on one battery (in slow mode)If I had one thing I wish came with it is the upgrade oil filled metal shocks. We bought them as an upgrade ($20 per truck) and it was night and day on small drops like off a curb. They bottomed out going off a curb out of the box but with the upgraded shocks you can drop it from about 3 feet and not bottom them out.It’s a very small complaint and it completely dependent on how you drive. Overall, an incredible toy and value for an entry level hobby RC.

This is a really good car for the price. It’s small enough to run in the house and fast enough to have fun with it outside.It also is very durable. My son has ran it into things in the house at full speed and it just bounces off and keeps going.This is a small truck but big on fun. Outside it is fast enough to have fun with. It rips donuts in the dirt, goes good on gravel, and goes though short grass with no problems.Another plus is you can buy parts for it on amazon. As for the new parts I really like them. The metal axles, new esc/radio, and coming with two lipo batteries is a nice touch over the old version.Also the new lipo batteries it comes with have great runtime and power over the old Li-ion batteries the old version came with.

This version is perfect for kids and adults just the look with the lights beaming at night and a day look real nice . The rc truck was really eye satisfying because looks like a ford or a truck like . Its for open wide spaces and the only thing that’s bad that I believe but don’t as well because of the videos prompted that it’s hardcore but a crash would be lethal but its perfect because that’s where the business starts because of the weak non-metal ereas . Easy to use a side button easy access to turn on . Clips fit the finger to pin it out easy . It’s super fast for adults mode like shown in the video and slow for kids to use runs approx an eye watch like 30mph but it’s enough to enhance a thrill of good satisfaction . I would recommend to a lot of people affordable , durable but won’t throttle on sand beach don’t try it but will still work if you run it on the ground. So much to say I love it as much as my big one that I have and this one you get to play on the house anywhere . Idk if it works on mud yet . but I play more on sunny days or chilly breeze days . Love this product for a birthday gift for kids and I like how how the lights are dent in because it won’t crash the light glass and it’ll bash the square shape area . I love the service just like big companies it’ll be nice to learn how to assemble and disassemble and forever work it to work when ordering parts . 🙂

Beginner RC
We were looking into getting into the hobby and had been pricing and shopping around l. Didn’t want to spend a lot upfront in case we found this not for us. Found this little gem on Reddit and decided to buy it. So happy we did. The kid and the wife love it and it gets up pretty fast speed wise. It’s solidified that yes this is going to be a fun family hobby. We plan on getting another one soon and slowly start moving up to the bigger more expensive ones. Looking at videos a tinkering with it to see what goes where and how to replace certain areas came easier than we thought it would. If you want to test the waters of the RC hobby world without breaking the bank and have fun, I think this truck would be perfect.

Best one I have found yet for my boys super fast came with two batteries even tho they don’t last but like 25-30 mins and the little clips that hold the body on fall off and get lost but I replaced them with Bobby pins lol worked great

Amazing quality, very fast and lots of fun!
I own two of these RC cars. They are pricey but worth it. Both my kids (9 and 5) have one and they love them. They drive best on the road so we use them in our culdesac or at a park. They don’t really work as well in grass (they aren’t meant for it anyhow). They come with 2 batteries so you can have lots of fun! Highly recommend.

So I’d been on the hunt for a 1/18th scale RC truck for a while, and had almost settled on a much higher priced brand who shall remain unnamed, BUUT I held off over and over again due to mixed reviews and stories I heard going around. One day, in a vow to complete a final search for a better priced option, I opened Amazon and searched 1/18 scale Haiboxing rc cars. Boom, this little guy popped up. I read reviews. I watched countless YouTube videos. I researched, compared notes, and researched my compared notes. I learned it had metal driveshafts and two lipo batteries out of the box. It was 4WD. It had avaliable upgrades. It was perfect. I ordered. I received. I was happy. And I still am!😅The stock suspension is quite bouncy so I will be upgrading to the oil filled shocks that Haiboxing offers, but other than that, absolutely knocked out of the park with this one. If you’re on the fence, buy it. Unless you get a lemon unit, which can happen with any brand, you’ll love it. Cheers! And great job Haiboxing😁-Edit-(Writing in May)I’ve now owned my little HBX truck since February and have taken it out across the driveway in front of my apartment complex more times than I can count. I’ve slung it across pavement, dirt, mulch, jumped it off curbs, and also put it through various tumbles and flips, and it ate everything I put it through for breakfast. Recently I purchased the oil-filled shocks and lawd what a difference! Suspension bounce is gone completely and landing after a jump the truck PLANTS. Battery life is very satisfactory, averaging just over an hour for charge time and about 15 minutes runtime per pack, depending on how hard you run it. I have had zero issues with batteries, charger, mechanical components, or the radio to date. I will say, the switches to adjust the speed and steering direction are, for some reason, placed almost level with the casing of the radio, making them almost impossible to move with a fingertip. This is not a major issue though, as all you need is a small flat-blade screwdriver or a kitchen knife to push the switch. Overall, minor flaws that shoud not take away from what an awsome little truck this is!

I purchased three (3) cars for my children, ages 10, 8 and 3…they absolutely love them! They are fast and durable, great cars to start off with. My kids are able to understand the pieces and if something breaks (which nothing has so far) we will be able to purchase replacement parts and fix it. Most RC cars rely on glue and tape to fix and when something major happens, they usually can’t be fixed and end up in the trash…but not these!!

Have to Get Another for the Other Kiddo
We are the typical family who has spent anywhere from $10-45 on RC vehicles. They usually last a couple of days before they crash and get busted up and end up in the garbage and the kids are upset their new toy broke. After doing that for years we deiced to invest in a more expensive one after reading the reviews we chose this. My daughter liked that it looks like Daddy’s Truck, she chose the orange color and named her truck, “Orange Justice.”She enjoyed putting the stickers on and customizing a bit. She broke her arm right before summer started so spending all day at the local pool was ruled out and we got this. We hoped it would live up to the reviews. We’ve had it for a week now and already feel it’s 100% been worth the money! This thing flies, at “normal” the battery life lasts about 30 minutes. It does come with a spare battery too so we charge that while utilizing the current one. She thinks it’s kina cool pulling the clips off and “working on it” switching the batteries out. The batteries come with a USB charger (no cube) so it makes charging easy in the car or at home.It even got my son out of the house to come to play with it and decided we will purchase another for him. We’ve taken it to our family reunion where everyone had fun playing and have a feeling some cousins will end up with some too. There was a bit of a learning curve to driving it since it is so fast. But my 10-year-old does amazing with it now. It’s taken abuse during that time though being ramed into curbs, sticks, done cartwheels and summersalts. Everytime it crashes I think, “Well there goes $75” and to my amazement it just keeps truckin’.

Great car, and great warranty service
I decided to get this car for my son for Christmas, rather than a much more expensive one, thinking that he might not use it for more than a week or two. He ended up using it a lot, and the plastic drive gears broke. We contacted the company about replacing the gears, and decided to buy replacement metal gears thinking they wouldn’t respond. They ended up responding quickly, and refunded half of the cost of the upgraded gears! The also provided a new body and clips at no charge. It’s nice to be surprised with great service for a change!

Loads of fun for a 6 year old
My son has had every version of Monster Jam remote control truck, most recently the floating one. For his birthday he said that he wanted a fast, real rc truck. I just picked this one after a short time looking. glad I did. It is fun in normal mode, runs for a long time on one battery. It did great in the snow. The 4 wheel drive is unstoppable. Then, just whenn the toy was becoming average, my son discovers high speed mode. He is rehooked. Still good battery life, even on high.Don’t give up on it in the house. Ours did not work in the house when he got it. I don’t know if it is too much interferance. we took it outside, where it belongs, and it works great. I would buy extra pins to hold the boddy on, you will learn that as you play with it. My 6 year old loves it and does very well with it.

Good Choice for a First RC Truck

This is the second HBX (Haiboxing) truck I’ve owned. I’ve had quite a range of RC vehicles over the years, and recently got back into it this last year after several years away from the hobby. Things have gotten considerably better for the amount of money spent. The value seems better than it was several years ago.This particular truck would be great for the younger user that’s ready for something with more speed and excitement than your run of the mill $40-$50 first RC toy. This steps things up quite a bit for a little more money than those not so fast or durable first RC toys.This truck has many of the design features of their larger truck – I own one of their 1:16 scale trucks with the upgraded motor. The attention to strength engineering is apparent in this smaller version as well. Nicely done.The hand controller is simple to use, and has a feature where you can switch between low and full power throttle to help new drivers get the feel without getting out of control. There’s quite a bit of speed and power when you can handle it – the video shows how good and fast this little truck can rip it up!I let the neighborhood kids play with it, and it was involved in more than a few direct t-bone crashes into trees, trash cans, the curb, etc… Still no signs of damage.

This thing is tougher than modern cars
this thing is a beast my kids love racing against it on their bikes and have run over it countless times all without breaking a single piece. They have driven it through many deep puddles. Driven it down a flight of stairs. Thrown it. Had tug of war over it. And it still Flys like a bat out of hell with its but on fire. The only thing I don’t like is the 20 min runtime at full speed but it does come with an extra battery so you get around 40 minutes of play time. Plus is the battery is easy to take out and insert

So very happy with this purchase. I bought it for me, but my 6 1/2 year old son quickly figured out how to use it. I ended up buying 5 of these so far for neighbors. It runs great, fast, durable, and the very minor issues I have had with it were addressed by the company right away. Very very impressed and I continue to buy them for others. I heard of someone else who bought from a different company and had to return it. I never know what I’m buying online, but feel that for RC cars, I have found my place to buy them. I had read reviews before, and must say, it has lived up to my expectations.

Awesome Truck!
This thing is so fast it’s hard to control. It does have a slower setting on it for the kids to drive as well. I did have to buy other batteries after about a month but I upgraded to larger batteries and 8 months later we are still playing with it. It has been through several crashes and running into things and still going. Great little truck!

Tough as nails
The pictures say it all. Over one year of ownership with nearly daily beatings. My son and I have ramped this 4 feet into the air, crashed it a million times, broken all of the cosmetics other than the rear bumper, and even ran over it with bikes and power wheels a few times. It laid some sick drifties, as you can tell by the tires, until one last time in the salt on the driveway without the top cover on, which finally killed the motor. My only complaint is that these don’t come with a million body clips.

Fun but kinda cheap
Bought this for my son, but I have played with it a bunch. On the high speed setting it is wicked fast. Everything is plastic though so don’t crash it around too much.
