First time harmonica buyer. It sounds good to me, if i learn how to play, it would be great. The feel of the harmonica is light, and on the cheaper side. Although it seems sturdy and put together well, it’s maybe the resin comb you put your lips on. I’m sure Bob Dylan wouldn’t purchase or play this, but for the average person, it’s a great starter.

First off the downsidesIt does come with instructions but it seems obvious that they are not written by someone that speaks ENglish natively.The finish on the edges could be better. I received a red harmonica, but the edges have stainless steel showing through around the edges just right out of the box.I have played it side by side with the harmonica that I already have, and it is bigger, but it is tuned about the same and it sounds a bit better. So it does sound good and it is tuned, so it’s a good variety option if you want a colorful instrument that is a bit more showy.It has an underlaid gold toned plate with gold colored screws. It’s tuned to C and it has a C on the side. There’s a 1-10 numbering scheme written on it for the holes and the instructions show this for learners.It is really open on the back as compared to some harmonicas, so it is good that it comes with a case. The case is basic plastic and it has a cleaning cloth with it.My son likes it. His main complaint was the finish could be better. I’m taking a star off for that.

Decent harmonica
I used to play the harmonica in high school, but stopped when I went to college because I got too many complaints when I played it in my dorm room. So this is a bit of nostalgia for me. It took a while to get the hang of it again, but now I’m making some good sounds again. (Unless you ask my wife.)It’s comfortable to hold and has a good, clear sound. This is a beginner’s harmonica, and I’m beginning again. If I keep this up I’ll definitely look for a better instrument, but this one is perfect for practice.

I purchased three of these to give as gifts for teens through the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas program. I am not musically inclined but they sound good to me. The major problem I had, and I anticipate the reciepients will have, is opening the case. It is nearly impossible to get open and I can just imagine the child at the other end smashing the case to find out what is inside! Too bad it isn’t easier to open and have intuitive latches.

Let’s start out with, probably, an obvious admission – I do not know much about harmonicas…So why did I buy these? Several weeks ago, I started hearing the harmonica parts of Billy Joel’s ‘Piano Man’ coming from my daughter’s bedroom. Turns out, she got a harmonica a while back in school, and just decided to start playing. Learning from YouTube. And she’s gotten fairly good. After some (hopefully) innocent questions about why I was hearing Piano Man at all hours of the day, I decided a nice harmonica set could be a great Christmas gift.My initial choice was a set of Fender harmonicas. Which never shipped. So I canceled them and tried these. Again, I know noting about harmonicas. Evidently, my daughter does and was ecstatic when she opened these Christmas morning. After listening to her try them out, they sound REALLY good. She asked me if I was the one that got them, and I said yes. She thanked me and said they were her favorite gift this year. She was happy, I was happy that she was happy with them – it’s all good.

Purchased this for my grandson who is 11 to take along on vacation along with a harmonica guide book, and he is really enjoying learning to play. It is a very nice quality and reasonably priced. I am not a pro musician but I give this instrument a thumbs up!
