Great for the beach, park, yard, and the living room!

GS has been my go-to in sporting goods over the years, and this one takes the cake. Pickleball is becoming more and more popular, and this is a nice set for 2. Upon unboxing, I found the build quality to be more than sufficient for casual use and even competition. The handling is great and no parts seemed to be skimped. Got this to play at the beach with my partner, and our mini dachshund loves interfering with our game. Whether at the park, the beach, in the yard, or even in the living room (with caution), this is a solid set of paddles and balls for under 35 dollars (with the coupon at the time of this review). Worth.

Everything we needed to get started

This is a nice set. Appears to be well made and had everything we needed to play. The carry bag is not fancy, but very adequate. I don’t know if this would meet the needs of “professional” pickle ball players (is that a thing?) but we are new to it and this set lets the whole family play. Our more athletic member agreed that the equipment was at least up to his high school PE standards.

    Awesome set

I’m not a pro, and I haven’t been playing pickle ball for very long, but have tried out probably 6 or 7 different paddles, and these ones are my favorites so far! They feel great in my hand, and they’re just great quality all around. They come in a nice case to haul them around in. I’m thrilled!

    value pickleball set

The media could not be loaded.

This is a no frills pickleball set. It is not colorful or any graphics it is just a black paddle with the GS1 logo on it. If you are just looking for high value paddles to start playing, this is what you want. It comes with 4 balls and 4 paddles but no carrying case or bag. The paddle feels good to hold and has a large sweet spot. It hits well during play and durable. Some lower quality paddles have dents on the face after playing but these paddles still looks new after playing several hours and ball still bounces OK with no cracks!I would definitely recommend this set if you are looking for high value paddles to start and don’t care about design or graphics.

    From a pickle ball player…

My dad plays pickle ball daily and has done so for years, so I figured he’d be the perfect person to help me review this. I actually got this for myself, so I could play with him – but I’m new to pickle ball, so I wouldn’t know how to review a paddle myself. He says he likes this even more than his basic franklin paddles. His paddle of choice is a franklin pro, which I felt and as I beginner I honestly preferred this GoSport one for myself. He agrees this is a great beginner paddle. The fiberglass is very lightweight, yet still has a good feel in the hand. The grip is nice and soft, yet also doesn’t slip and feels very comfortable to hold. He said that fiberglass paddles always last a very long time and he was surprised at the low cost of this paddle for how nice it feels and plays. Overall great value.

Great paddle to start playing with!

I was looking for a lighter paddle for 10 year old to play with, when I came across this one. Given it’s low price compared to other paddles, I figured “what the heck,” why not give it a go. I am very happy that I did. This is a darn good paddle. It is light, feels good in the hand, is forgiving and has a good amount of pop. While I have been playing with more advanced paddles as of late, I felt perfectly comfortable playing with this one when I gave it a go, just for the kicks of it. In fact, I wish I would have had this paddle when I first started playing, as it a vast improvement over the ones that came in the first multi-paddle pack I bought several years ago. What I also like about it…though this is just my personal taste…is that the design of the paddle is simple. So many of the beginner level paddles come with wild designs that may look cool, but scream out to other players on the court, “hi, I am new here.”The kiddo enjoys playing with it too, and when she isn’t using it, it will be handy to have on hand for those times I bring new players to the court to try pickleball for the first time.

Best performing fiberglass faced paddle I’ve played

For a standard fiberglass constructed paddle under $30 per paddle, this one has exceeded all others I’ve tried. The textured face provides ample spin, while the smaller 13mm thickness gives it a lot of power from the back line. Overall, a good little performance paddle for a fraction of cost of many others that play exactly the same.

    Great set

Usually when you purchase a set of rackets like this you receive some rackets on the cheaper side but these are really nice and feel like the expensive ones that i have. The balls are just ok, but its the rackets im most impressed with.

    Impressed with these! Great quality!

You can either get super cheap or good quality at this price and these are great quality. Comfortable in your hands, good quality paddle overall and lightweight. The balls are a little heavier than other ones I’ve used so you definitely have to compensate your hits for that. But overall these are great!

Great paddle to start with and beyond!

The grip has a soft, comfortable feel and is easy to hold and hang on to. Weight felt correct and balanced not causing any wrist fatigue. Ball left the paddle surface true (I will work on spin later). Price was right – since I am a beginner I wanted a good paddle to learn with that did not break the bank. This fit the bill!

    Great Value for Money

I really enjoyed using these pickleball paddles. Well, one of them anyway. It’s great to have a spare paddle for when you can talk a friend into playing with you. I am not an expert player but I found these paddles lightweight and with a nice sweet spot. Well worth the money. Highly recommended.

    Great paddle!

I play pickleball about twice a month and have been playing for several years. I think this is a great paddle for anyone who plays recreationally or is looking to get into pickleball or even to have some spare paddles for friends to play with.I personally really like playing with a fiberglass paddle. The other fiberglass paddles I use have lasted me years without any sign of wear or tear and based on the feel of this paddle I imagine it will be the same. The grip on this paddle feels a little different. It has a raised line which I am not used to. And it is a little bigger grip than I like.Overall I think this is a quality paddle and I have enjoyed playing with it.

    Awesome!!

I wasn’t sure what to expect from paddles on Amazon, but these are actually pretty good quality compared to some of the others we’ve purchased. They’re perfect for beginner/new players and have a good feel. I’m a sucker for all black, so it’s sleek in my opinion. The balls I won’t prefer to use, but again, for someone just getting into pickleball, they’ll do the trick.

Nice All-Around Beginner to Intermediate Paddle. Great Touch, Feel, and Balanced Power. Lightweight

This review is for the GOSPORTS GS1 Pickleball Paddle. I received free taxable samples of this USAPA-approved fiberglass paddle, a different USAPA-approved fiberglass paddle, and a graphite paddle to review in my search for a good all-around starter paddle. The paddle arrived wrapped in a transparent plastic bag and in a slim branded brown cardboard box with a picture of the paddle as well as support and social media information. The paddle weighs 193 grams and measures approximately 16″ x 8″ in total length and width. Including the plastic edge guard, the head of the paddle is 8″ in width and 11 1/2″ in length as measured from the top end of the head to where it joins with the handle. The handle itself measures 4 1/2″ and comes pre-gripped around a 1 3/8″ x 1 1/4″ hexagon. Aesthetically the racquet is predominantly a clean matte black with dark grey lettering for the model number, “USA Pickleball Approved”, “13mm”, and humble brand lettering.Side note: I like that this paddle came a la carte and not loaded with extraneous items such as balls, cooling towels, mesh bags, or other carrying cases. This paddle felt the most natural in my hands and was my preferred paddle out of the three over the course of several hours of play. Using this paddle, I felt like I hit pretty all of my shots with good control and the results being what I pretty much expected. From a physical design standpoint, this was the lightest of the three and the 4.5″ grip was a perfect length and fit for me. As per the digital production information, the paddle utilizes a fiberglass surface over a polypropylene honeycomb core. This composition contributes to the light weight to reduce fatigue and helps enable a good feel and touch for the ball. There is a noticeably rougher texture on this paddle and during play I was able to get a decent amount of spin on the ball, but not significantly more than the other fiberglass or graphite paddles. I believe this is partly due to my current high beginner level, such that I might be able to maximize the spin potential for various surfaces as I improve towards being an intermediate level player.Overall, this is a nicely constructed paddle that is lightweight with good power and has a great combination of feel and touch for the ball. I recommend this as a good all-around starter paddle option for beginners and intermediate pickleball players.

    Nice

I keep picking up GoSports items and they’ve been great. For this set, I like that it is low-cost, USAPA-approved. I think it’s a bare minimum starter set that would be good for just trying out pickleball or pawning it off on guests or kids. If you plan on playing more regularly, I’d recommend the $100+ or $200+ paddles that are better quality and better materials.I think it’s also great they include two balls because you can just pass this whole box off to someone and say get lost, go play. Great activity to get yourself out of the house or try a sport that’s gaining in popularity.

    Amazing paddles for $25 each

Seriously under rated paddles! For one the aesthetic is incredible at a flat black front and black with only tiny hard to see etchings, you can’t beat that when all the other brands slather their emblems and graphic name logo all over the other paddles. The quality is amazing as well, the GS AIR for $70 is definitely better (like so good) but they are both equally good for the price you pay.I love playing with these with friends because I know they are at no disadvantage for not having their own paddle when they play with me, it’s a high quality paddle I have played some incredibly competitive games with so when I hand them one of these I know I am taking care of them.Keep it up Go Sports! Please don’t hike up the price! Y’all have the market advantage at these prices just let the word get out and they will come!

    Nice upgrade from beginner paddles

After beating up a set of beginner pickleball paddles, I was in the market for something a bit better. These are much lighter than my previous paddles, and it’s quite noticeable. Moving the paddle quickly felt a lot easier than before. The paddle surface is smooth but it feels like it may have a small amount of texture, allowing me to get a bit more spin. I don’t know if it’s real or my imagination, but it definitely felt like I had more ball control. These are nice quality paddles, with a reasonable price tag.

    Very Nice set of four!

I have been wanting to play pickle ball with my kids at our local court for awhile now. I think the kids will enjoy playing much longer than tennis, since it’s a much lighter impact sport. I have also always loved playing badminton and ping pong, and pickle ball seems like the perfect combination of several games I love!I don’t have any other equipment to compare, but these paddles feel great and look really nice. Even though we’re beginners, I knew I at least wanted the paddles and balls to be regulation size and weight, in case we really end up enjoying it, which I have no doubt we will. The case is great.

    Perfect for Beginners

This is a Fiberglass pickleball paddle. It is a good racquet, with a very simplistic design – no frills, no real color or anything outrageous on the face – it’s a fiberglass paddle and that’s it. From a quality perspective – it’s fine. No issues with weight, speed or play ability. It needs a case or a cover of some kind and at this value point I would have expected one. That being said, if you are looking for a good spare USAPA Approved paddle this one is a good fit for you.

This is a great starter kit for pickleball novices like myself and my family! Everything we need to get playing except the court (which thankfully we have at our local park).Even our pups liked the kit, though they were more interested in helping us unpacking it and then trying to run off with the balls…I like the packaging – it is efficient, small, and easy to carry, which is very nice for walking to and from the court. There’s snow on the ground now, but once it melts off we’re going to be using this equipment set regularly.

Perfect for beginners and intermediates as well

First thing first, I did not realize how light these things are. The reaction times with these are much better and the weight (whatever there is) is perfectly balanced – these just feel so great in hand. I don’t claim to be a pro but ever since the Pickleball craze picked up I have been playing on and off and for the price I must say these are really, really good. Quite a large “sweet” spot one one paddle and surface is good enough for moderate spin. The other one seems to have “dead” spot right off center. Again I am not a pro but one paddle seems better quality than the other. The included balls are of okay quality.Overall, for the price these are fantastic lightweight paddles provided both of them have similar sweet spots. The quality control may be lacking but I don’t think beginners can do better than this at this price.

I have used this paddle for a couple of days. It works well and is one of the least expensive fiberglass paddles out there. My only is concern is that it is a bit too light. But otherwise, works really well and a great option wrt the wooden paddles that are very heavy. Definitely recommended for the given price.

Gritted Face Paddles Plays Really Well

I am a big fan of these GS1 paddles for those on a budget but still want a good all-around paddle. What sets this one apart for the price is the gritted face that provides more spin on when needed, and they work really well from all over the court. Considering the price point, these are a great value.

    Comfortable grip

I like the balanced weight of the paddles. I can see why people complain about the sound, the plastic ball when striking the paddle’s face does make noise. I was also surprised how some tennis players object to pickleball players using courts originally meant for tennis. Except for the noise, playing is fun.

    USAPA Approved!

These paddles are USAPA approved. For us, who are beginners, it really doesn’t matter. Honestly, we can’t tell the difference between these and those without the designation in terms of feel and quality, but then again, we’re just beginners. We do notice that those without the designation are cheaper. The quality is good though. And I like the understated black design on the paddle surfaces, instead of those with eye-dizzying patterns. The grip feels good and has enough traction to prevent the paddle from flying out of your hands and into your opponent’s face.

New pickleball player here and compared to players who have more expensive paddles, this one measures up well. I didn’t want to spend a fortune since I didn’t know if I’d like the sport. The paddle is light and has a coarse texture which I’ve learned is helpful when playing. I recommend!

    Great Set!

My wife and I are beginners and have used other people’s equipment in the past. These paddles are very nice like the paddles we used from friends. The set is a nice looking black design. Comes with four paddles, four balls and a mesh bag. The paddles are lightweight and easy to handle. The handles have a nice grip without any stickiness. The balls are fine. The mesh bag does the job of keeping it all together in the car trunk.Again, I am a beginner and enjoyed the feel of the paddles. The lightweight of the paddle makes playing the game fun and not tiring. Volleying was easy with a nice grip handle. I felt the paddle responsive enough for soft or hard volley returns.Good looking paddles, nice grips, lightweight and stays together in the bag in the car trunk. Happy to recommend.

Light weight, evenly balanced and sturdy. Be aware there is no strap so be careful when lunging for a ball. The surface is slightly course so spins are possible.

    Sturdy, good size and weight

I got this paddle for my husband who needed an upgrade from his previous paddle. He likes the size, weight, and construction of the paddle. The grip was very comfortable for him, and he liked the padded texture of the grip surface. We’ve had issues with grip tape quality on paddles before, but the materials used on this one look like they will hold up well. I’m no pro, but it seems like it is good quality for a beginner or casual intermediate player. I will update this review if I have any issues with quality over time.

Why spend more than you need to?

Full Disclosure: I’ve been playing Pickleball for about 4 months, and would rate myself to be a 3.0-ish player. I have previoulsy played with Vulcan 550 and Vulcan Composite Torque paddles. I was reimbursed for the cost of this paddle set, but was asked only to give my honest opinion in this review. My first impression was quite positive — for less than $40 you get two paddles and two indoor balls, packed in a nice cardboard box. I’ve managed to snag a used paddle for $20, but to get two new ones for $40 is quite a bargain. It’s especially useful for newer players or complete beginners who don’t want to shell out the big bucks until they get hooked on pickleball! Then again, this paddle set may be all that you need.Out of the box I noticed that the surface of this GS1 paddle was much more textured than either of my Vulcan paddles (which have carbon fiber or “composite” surfaces); this is a good thing, as it should allow for more spin and control (if only I was good enough!). In using this paddle for the first time, I was surprised that I noticed a difference right away. I seemed to have more control and was able to aim more effectively than usual. I still managed to hit a few balls too long, but I don’t think that’s the paddles fault! After only a few hours playing, I really like this paddle and highly recommend it. Why spend more than you need to?

This is an amazing starting set. Serving has felt very comfortable and the texture leaves opportunities to spin the ball. It is very lightweight and the grip is comfortable in my hand.USAPA certified, by the way, in case you plan on playing in any sanctioned tournaments. The bag gives me room to hold my water bottle, balls, paddle, and phone, wallet etc.The orange has been the hit of my pickle ball community because it looks fantastic. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sport carry bag.

    Great paddle for beginners

I got this paddle to try out as a beginner pickleball player. I can only compare it to a Costco set I had purchased in the past, but I am very impressed. It’s a bit larger overall than my other set which works well (especially for beginners). My favorite thing is the grip (pictured) has a textured finish with a cord overlay that adds some extra grip. I really appreciate having my fingers grasp into a groove rather than just a flat handle. The paddle is a minimalist design and the flat black does show scratches, but they can be rubbed off easily. Overall, I highly recommend this paddle!

    Great Paddle!

I have owned 2 other paddles, and this one is easily the best. It does have a little more weight (which is good, for controlling shots), it has a bigger hit zone, a very grippy and perfect-circumference handle, and is a nice non-pattern look!I am able to control my hits a lot more than the ones that came in my starter kit, giving me much better accuracy and controlled power.Personally, this is the best paddle I have ever used for pickleball.I highly recommend GoSports GS1 Pickleball Paddle!

    Pro-style regulation set

Unlike some of the other sets out there (with neon colors and swooshes that look like kid’s outdoor toys from the dollar store) these just looks like a real pro set and wouldn’t look out of place with my other sporting gear. Maybe I’m a purest, but I just like the minimalist design. They’re regulation size and weight and are comfortable to hold and play with. Staying with the minimalist design, it comes with a simple black and white drawstring carrying bag. I think this is a good deal for anyone wanting to get into it that maybe just doesn’t want to look like they’re using a kid’s play set.

    value pickleball set

It is everything you need (except the court and net) for you and a bunch of friends to get started.Being my first time, I will give you my best review.Paddles: Easy to use. Easy to learn with. Lightweight. The grip is comfortable with just the right amount of tackiness. I didn’t drop my paddle even once. There are four of them!Balls: Took a beating from the paddles and kept on going. Went over the net sometimes and sometimes it didn’t… and it didn’t even laugh at me when I whiffed. There are four of them, so they should last for a while.Bag: Held all the things…Overall, I am immensely happy with my new hobby. My wife agrees.

    Quality Beginner Set

As a 4.0+ player reviewed these with eyes of a beginner. They are geared towards power vs control and have quality construction which will allow beginners to work on form without worrying about getting the ball across the net. The ball quality is relative to a Franklin x-40 and holds up well. You can put some decent spin and their lightweight provides great hand speed in battles. Some asked if these were a higher end brand but I let them know it was a beginner set. Others tried and liked them and could see how beginners would benefit from their quality construction. As they are power focused it is important to swing and punch a bit softer to keep the ball in play. For the price and performance this set will serve many beginners well.

I hadn’t played pickleball since I was a kid, but I have a court just a block from my house and when I saw this set, I figured I would give it a try. First off, for the price, this is a really great set including four paddles and balls. The paddles are light but don’t feel cheap or flimsy. The grip is comfortable and I think my family will enjoy using this set for a long time. I’m not an expert at the game, so can’t comment too much on the finer points of it such as how big the sweet spot is on the paddles, but for a beginner, it seemed great. They are comfortable to use and seem like they will hold up well for a long time. I would definitely recommend this set for anyone looking to start playing pickleball.

I had been wanting to get into some sort of activity but something light to begin. Came across pickleball and felt like a good option for people with cervical spondylosis as heavy racquets would hurt the arm. Bought this and must say I am loving how well this is made. I like the balanced weight of the paddles. I can see why people complain about the sound, the plastic ball when striking the paddle’s face does make noise. I was also surprised how some tennis players object to pickleball players using courts originally meant for tennis. Except for the noise, playing is fun.

I picked these up for my teenager and we took them right away to test them out. They are nice and lightweight. We definitely don’t know a whole lot about pickleball. We are not pros here, but this is a great beginner set. Comes in a set of four, comes with I think 3 balls. They are nice and bright and so I’m not worried about getting them mixed up with other pickleballs and they are easy to see flying through the air. I would like the replace the pickball ball that the set comes with, its just a thin sinch sack, your typical swag back, so not very high quality. The paddles are fantastic and easy to manuever.

    Nice paddles

I am a beginner at this game and wanted to start playing pickleball as a way to get my body moving more. The paddles are nice. The handle has a nice grip and it’s comfortable to hold. It’s lightweight. We have some other pickleball paddles and compared to these, they are great quality and you can tell the difference in quality. It has a smoother bounce when you hit the ball. I like that it comes with a bag to keep everything together. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for and these are really nice. Recommend.

    Great, Lightweight Fiberglass Pickleball Paddle

This is a well-made pickleball paddle. Performs great on the court and is lightweight but sturdy. The handle is non-slip and comfortable to hold. I like that it has the USAPA approved stamp on it to demonstrate accurate sizing. If you are looking for a fiberglass pickleball paddle this is a great choice!

I love this paddle. Got it when I was getting into pickle-ball as a beginner and it still works so well now. I bought one for my boyfriend and my sister uses it who is much more advanced. They both love it. I use mine daily and have no complaints after a few months!

    Beginner Paddle

I’m new to pickleball and got a cheap wood set from Target. Then I realized how much fun this game was and needed to upgrade slightly to a better paddle. Compared to the cheap wooden paddles this paddle is way lighter and has a good feel and sound when playing. My 12-year-old son uses this paddle and loves it!

    Worth it

Do yourself a favor. If you are starting out with pickleball, do not buy the cheap wood paddles. These fiberglass paddles are way more durable and will last a lot longer. I have seen many a cheap wooden paddle get easily broken. It’s just not worth it, as these aren’t much more expensive. These are a great price for entry level paddles. They feel good in the hand, and the grip itself is nicely padded. USAPA-approved means they aren’t junk.

    Great beginner set

First off, I’ve never played pickle ball before, I saw this item pop up and figured it was worth a shot. My kids like to hit badminton birdies outside and I figured this would be something different. This set seems good for beginners. Nothing looks all that fancy, but it’s well made for what it is.I hit a ball around for a bit, and the sweet spot does seem large as they claim. My kids are downstairs right now (it’s cold outside) hitting the balls around. So I’d say it was a success.

    Great set

We enjoy pickleball at our house and like to keep extra paddles on hand, so I have tried a variety of sets. Three things set these apart from others I have tried: their simple design, the longer grip, and the rough texture on the surface.I know that how the paddle is decorated should not really matter, but it always does… especially when there are kids playing. These are all black and just look cool. The longer grip is nice because it makes it easier to adjust your hands between shots (some thing I learned to do as a tennis player). The surface makes a difference when you get a little more advanced and want to put some spin the ball instead of just hitting it.The set came with a nice size bag and four fluorescent, plenty to get your family started. If you want a quality set of pickleball paddles that Are approved by the USA Pickleball Association, this is a great option.

Ok for beginners for the price

I bought this pair of GoSports GS1 pickleball paddles for $40 after-Thanksgiving/black Friday sale (regular $50) for my parents who are just starting out in pickleball. I tried them out and they feel like an upgrade from the super beginner wood paddles, but I personally don’t like them. I probably can’t explain it as well as an advanced pickleballer, but I feel like they have dead spots. A player who tried them (he’s easily 5.0) said they feel like wood paddles. To me they are LOUD when hitting the pickleball. My background: I’ve only been playing pickleball for 3 months with 3.0 to 4-ish players but have played competitive tennis in the past.I’ve played with other players’ higher end Engage 14mm, Selkirk 14mm, Legacy Pro 16mm and CRBN 16mm paddles. I have so far bought 3 lesser known, mid-price ($40 to $61 deals) carbon fiber paddles because I’m not ready yet to spend $150+ for just 1 paddle, being new to pickleball. To me, the difference between the pair of GS1 and my carbon fiber paddles are night and day. I think it’s because the GS1 is not carbon fiber. My husband played tennis recreationally in the past and could tell the difference in paddles but not right away, and he doesn’t think the GS1 is as beginner-ish as I do. My beginner parents have never tried any other pickleball paddles so of course they said it’s fine. I do prefer 16 mm and the GS1’s are thinner than that, so that could be PARTLY why I don’t like the GS1’s.They’ve only been used about 4 times but they do seem very sturdy; I do like that aspect of the GS1s. If my parents ever upgrade to better paddles, they can keep these to loan to other beginner friends of theirs. That’s how confident I am that the GS1’s will last.I also own the Go Sports Pro pickleball paddle, and the Go Sports pickleball net (see my review for that), both of which seem very sturdy as well. I am MUCH more satisfied with the GoSports PRO paddle but it costed more, $61 on sale (~$71 regular price) vs. $20 on sale (regular price twenty five dollars) for each GS1 paddle.

Great for Beginners and Casual Players – Nice to Have Everything You Need in One Set

I have a portable pickleball net that I like to bring with me to church picnics and outings. Even though there are a lot of folks that play, I wanted to have a complete set of paddles that I could bring with me so people wouldn’t have to remember to bring their own gear. This has been great for that. The price is a bit higher than what you’d pay for budget wood paddles, but these are seriously decent beginner / intermediate paddles that will not only perform better than the cheapies, they’ll also last a lot longer too.One of the most frustrating thing with being a beginner is that you don’t want to spend a lot of money on equipment while you decide if you like the sport. Having these on hand gives people a chance to try the sport out, even as a large group without anyone having an unfair equipment advantage. This way, everyone has the same gear and it can really level the playing field for beginners. It’s been a hit so far, so I definitely recommend it. If you’re serious about pickleball, you may want to invest in something more customized to your play style, but these are a great place to start.

The grip feels good and has enough traction to prevent the paddle from flying out of your hands and into your opponent’s face.

    great quality

I have been wanting to play pickle ball with my kids at our local court for awhile now. I think the kids will enjoy playing much longer than tennis, since it’s a much lighter impact sport. Gritted Face Paddles Plays Really Well

I am a big fan of these GS1 paddles for those on a budget but still want a good all-around paddle.

    Great Set for Beginners

This is a very nice set for anyone just getting started, or looking for some extra paddles. Seems like they’ll last a while too. Great value.

    A good paddle for beginners!

I have used this paddle for a couple of days. It works well and is one of the least expensive fiberglass paddles out there. My only is concern is that it is a bit too light. But otherwise, works really well and a great option wrt the wooden paddles that are very heavy. Definitely recommended for the given price.

Good for Newbies – Bring a friend or three!

As someone new to the sport, I appreciate this set.

    Perfect beginner set!

I had been wanting to get into some sort of activity but something light to begin. Came across pickleball and felt like a good option for people with cervical spondylosis as heavy racquets would hurt the arm. Bought this and must say I am loving how well this is made. Lightweight, well made and sturdy. I have found a great activity to move my body and have even made my friends join into it. It has become a group fun time in a healthy way. Love this set with tons of pickleballs and a bag to carry it, although the bag could be better.

    Upgrade your cheap paddles!

I’m a complete beginner here at this sport but made the cardinal sin of grabbing a cheap pickleball set… and they are cheap. So, I wanted to upgrade my paddles and maybe keep the cheap-o paddles around for my opponents. 🙂 These are quite an upgrade. I can’t speak for top of the line paddles, but if you are like me and own some 1/4″ plywood-esque paddles, do yourself a favor and upgrade. For the price, it’s not terrible for two fiberglass paddles! The included balls are okay, I guess? They bounce. But, I was really in just for the paddles. You won’t be disappointed.

Pro quality USAPA 4-paddle pickleball set with balls and bag

This is an amazing starting set. Serving has felt very comfortable and the texture leaves opportunities to spin the ball. It is very lightweight and the grip is comfortable in my hand.USAPA certified, by the way, in case you plan on playing in any sanctioned tournaments. The bag gives me room to hold my water bottle, balls, paddle, and phone, wallet etc.The orange has been the hit of my pickle ball community because it looks fantastic. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a sport carry bag.

    Lightweight and powerful!

These paddles are very very lightweight, which is amazing! It’s a very convenient set, with two paddles and two balls provided. The paddles come with a strong grip and a textured hitting surface, which add to the power you can hit the pickleball with as well as the spin. Very high quality paddles and balls, I enjoyed playing with them!

Lightweight paddles are great for beginner set

I picked these up for my teenager and we took them right away to test them out. They are nice and lightweight. We definitely don’t know a whole lot about pickleball. We are not pros here, but this is a great beginner set. Comes in a set of four, comes with I think 3 balls. They are nice and bright and so I’m not worried about getting them mixed up with other pickleballs and they are easy to see flying through the air. I would like the replace the pickball ball that the set comes with, its just a thin sinch sack, your typical swag back, so not very high quality. The paddles are fantastic and easy to manuever.

    Inexpensive, quality, great for beginners

I wanted to get a pickleball paddle to learn the sport but did not want to make a significant investment. This paddle met all my criteria and is of surprising quality. I am very happy with this purchase for the price.

Good replacement for a plywood paddle

At this price point the obvious comparison is with a plywood paddle. This one is definitely lighter and easier to swing. Because it is fiberglass the ball comes off a bit slower than off the plywood paddle, which is better for control but not speed – so keep that in mind. The grip is a bit larger than I prefer personally but that depends on your hand size – I like 4 to 4.25 inch grip and this is 4.5.I also not sure about the price – I see similar paddles sold as a set of 2 for almost the same price as the single paddle. Only long term use can show how durable this paddle is so I will have to revisit this review in a few months.

    Perfect for anyone

I love this paddle. Got it when I was getting into pickle-ball as a beginner and it still works so well now. I bought one for my boyfriend and my sister uses it who is much more advanced. They both love it. I use mine daily and have no complaints after a few months!

    Pickleball is taking off!

I work at a college and half of the tennis courts have been converted for pickleball. This is perfect for someone like me who is aging, out of shape, and needs to take things a bit easier.I bought 2 sets and have been going once or twice a week to play with my daughter and her boyfriend. This set is SO worth the money. Pick up a backpack to go with it!
