Exactly what you’d expect from orange

Great little practice/bedroom amp. Not for gigging or full band practice.

    Great little practice amp.

Has plenty of adjustments. Overdrive has a nice punch. Actually pretty loud for a 18×14 room. Add pedals of your choice and go brrr brrr brrr all day long!

    Solid Amp

Moved to an apartment from a house. Good sound at volumes that probably won’t make your neighbors angry. Solid little amp, with a good tone…it makes your guitar sound louder, not different.

I love this amp. It’s easy to adjust to a great tone. Sounds as good as an expensive tube amp for home use.

Great Sound in a Small Package

After buying a Nighthawk Reissue, I decided that playing through my old practice amp was just not going to cut it. I live in a townhouse, so noise is an issue. While I’d love a huge behemoth of an amp, it just isn’t practical as I just didn’t want noise complaints. So after a lot of research, I settled on this little guy. I wasn’t expecting anything special. But it shocked me. First of all, for its size, it gets plenty loud. It’s not for gigging, but I bet in the right room, you could at least practice with a drummer and not be drowned out. I have found that it stays very clean with the volume high. But honestly, with the volume set at 5, I have already hit the limit “loudness”.The overdrive is great. Very responsive. The gain control is spot on. I am able to dial in a nice mid range tone with the three different levels. The only thing I would wish for is a tuner on the amp. But for the price, it has everything I could ask for. Most importantly, it has the sound that I was after when combined with my Nighthawk.

    Very safe packaging!

Quality of Orange Crush amps are out there! It’s quite versatile for rock tones, especially grunge tones! The packaging was safe and of course, the material is pretty tough. It came exactly in time. It was a good purchase.

    Great little practice amp.

Decided to take up the guitar again after a 20 year hiatus. I bought an old 80’s ibanez strat and still have a few pedals lying around. This amp is perfect for what it is, a practice amp and no more. I did some on-line searching and found out how to set for good cleans and decent dirty gain. No channel switching, but any decent distortion pedal solves that. Bottom line is it is a good low volume budget amp to practice/learn and not annoy everyone else in the house.

Great amp for me (a beginner)

I dont know much about amps, but I think this one is great. I’ve been messing around with it for the last week and really cranked it up and boy is she loud. I played Revolution by The Beatles and it does a great job getting that crunchy distorted sound out, but it also does amazing when it’s being played clean. Its perfect for me. And even though the color is weird I kinda fell in love with it.

    Dynamite Little Amp!

This little amp has way more volume than you would expect and a surprising array of tones for a 1 channel, combo amp. I’m not a professional musician and purchased the Orange Crush 12 primarily for its small footprint and portability-the sound I get from the amp is a bonus. I have a Martin acoustic/electric, a tele-style 6 string electric and a 12 string semi-hollow body electric that all sound very nice thru this little Orange amp. I highly recommend this product-for less than $100 you can’t go wrong!

    Great Practice Amp!

This is a great practice amp, and I’m more than impressed with its performance. The tones and music coming from it are pure and clear. Though it’s only 12 watts, it gets incredibly loud while maintaining the crispness of the music. There’s no feedback unless you have it calibrated oddly. It does both clean and dirty, making the most beautiful sounds. We upgraded to this from a Champ 15, and the quality of the sound from the Orange amp is so much cleaner (or dirtier – your choice. 😉 ). It’s compact, so it fits in my tiny house well. It’s very sturdily built; for the low price, it’s not constructed cheaply. And, the great cool orange color is fantastic!

    Great little amp.

I just use this amp at home where I play by myself. I was actually surprised how good this little amp works and how loud it can get. I didn’t have very high expectations but I was very happy once I started using it. Definitely a great buy for something that’s easy to carry and for small venues.

High in Vitamin C, great for the immune system.

So cool. Does a variety of sounds. I can get a sound like folksie or classical or like The Doors or even Black Sabbath. I love that it has an overdrive knob and gain knob, you can really tweek your sound to get fuzzy or growly or a mix of the two. But the main thing is the tone of the amp overall, sooo much better than my Marshall practice amp. Really got me excited about playing guitar all over again.

Orange is a low-end punchy power House in the world of amps

My introduction to Orange products. I am very impressed. Now I’m planning on investing in the big brothers of this crafty low-end powerhouse of amplifier. Looking for the full rig of 4/12 closed and 2/12 open cabs with the Amp Head to go with. Thankyou for opening my eyes. Ive always been a Mesa buggie sort of guy, not anymore!

    Great Deal

There was an advertised problem with this amp. The speaker board had been pushed in throughshipping. The sellers decided to sell it at a discount of 50% so I bought it. When it came it worked just fine electronically. I took the box apart and fixed the speaker board back in place and glued it. Put it back together and it was perfect. I will sure be doing business with these folks again.

    Awesome lil’ amp!

Killer little amp. It’s been carried around, used on a slew of guitars (and even a bass or two), and has a great sound in a small package. This one is easy to carry and perfect for smaller homes and rooms where you want an amp without needing to get rid of most of your furniture (or wake up your roommates). I’ll definitely buy more from orange in the future!

    It’s awesome to any non-professional

Got one of these to replace a Peavy amp from 1984 that I loaned to a buddy’s kid and never got back. It works great, looks cool as hell, and sounds like what you’d expect an amp of this size to sound like EXCEPT BETTER. You’re not going to play a concert venue with this amp but you’ll have a lot of fun with it.

Great, versatile bedroom or small space amp

As a guitar player of 15 years now I needed a small amp for my bedroom for recording purposes and just for those quick, out of nowhere riffs that pop up when you just pickup your guitar at random. Since my large equipment is in a place in the house where there is a lot of traffic with family I needed something where I could play my guitar anytime. This amp fit the bill perfectly. For a small, 6″ speaker amp this thing throws out some loud, clear sound and I was pleasantly surprised. The gain and overdrive can be cranked up for a nice crunchy sound or keep them set low for nice, warm cleans that sound pretty good for solid state electronics. If you don’t want to mess around with pedals for a bedroom setup like me then this amp is great for that. You will not get heavy distortion with this amp so if you’re looking for that either look elsewhere or buy a separate pedal. I paired this amp with my TC Electronics Looper so I can stack up the riffs to create songs in small places. The amp itself seems well built and comes with higher end features like corner protectors and the ability to control the gain, overdrive, low, mid, and high range, and comes with a standard 1/4″ input and a 1/4″ headphone jack when you want to be really quiet or just listen through headphones. If you’ve never played through headphones I highly recommend it since you can really hear how great your guitar sounds. So if you’re looking for a small but reasonably versatile amp for your bedroom or even to travel with this might be it.

    Wonderful Peppy Lil’ Practice Amp

After having some issues with my old 20 amp solid state amp I used at home I decided to go with this little number. I was a bit skeptical at first and thought it might be a downgrade, but man have my expectations been shattered. Really good clean tones, and this thing can certainly be cranked a respectable amount. I’ve been using my own overdrive pedal in place of the overdrive knob on the amp, but having played around with it the crunchy sounds you can get are fun a usuable. Build quality is amazing, wouldn’t expect less from orange. Played along side a friend using an old 10w practice amp and the difference between the two was night and day. Pedals sound great through this amp too. I’ll be happy with it for a long time.
