I’m no tambourine expert!
This tambourine is well constructed, so it seems it will last for quite a while. But I’m not crazy about the actual sound. I mean, it’s OK, and I do like being able to bang the stretched surface like a drum. If I build up my tambourine game, maybe I’ll go pro-quality next time. Ha!

Unfortunately doesn’t come with a sense of rhythm but otherwise it’s perfectly adequate for banging on almost but not quite in sync with the beat. I got this for a quick music project – I can see the glue underneath the rim (of the batter head) starting to come up- but personally I don’t mind. i can use it without the head so It’s doing its job either way.

I got this for my daughter, after a music class at the library she loved the tambourine. So I knew I needed to get her one.First, and most importantly, it can take a beating! She’s 19 months old and she smashes, tosses, bangs and generally attempts to destroy EVERYTHING. And this tambourine has absorbed it all.

It’s a good tambourine if you’re looking for a prop, not so much an excellent musical product. Worked well with an Esmerelda from Hunchback of Notre Dame costume. Is a hit at parties.

The Unexpected Musical Instrument
I bought two tambourines from Percussion Musical. We bought them for a musical class my mother in law in taking in assisted living. Perfect. Very well made, cost effective, excellent sound which as you can imagine was our first priority. We received them earlier than projected. The band is coming along well with the tonal assist of the tambourines. The only problem we have is that everyone else wants to play them.I may have more in my future if we broaden the percussion section!

Tambourine is a huge hit!
So I bought this originally for my 9 month old to shake and drum on, and it turns out my 4 year old has taken to it as well. I’ve has this for a week and it’s stood up to a ton of abuse from my kids. They just shake and bang away on this daily.It’s lightweight, the metal jingles… jingles easily and the drum is just that, a drum.It’s got a hole on the side where you can loop your fingers through, or tie a ribbon to attach the tambourine to something.It’s great.

My son was really excited to get this. But he was highly disappointed by the fact that the top of the tambourine had what resembled to be a smear of “mustard.” in the age of vivid we cannot take a chance with anything so we are returning the item.

Great sound
Very nice tambourine, especially for the price. The overtones that the head give off give it a really nice sound. Built well, I experimented with sound by hitting the head with drum sticks, and it still looks like it’s fresh out of the box. Currently using it in my percussion setup and would absolutely recommend it.
