The sound on this is really beautiful. It’s stayed in tune pretty well in the first days. I was expecting to need to tune it more, but it’s only needed minor adjustments. I got this for me to use, and to use with my kids. It’s a great size for them, I have them use the strap. I love that this came with a case and a tuner. I’m very pleased with this purchase

Great for Beginners
I purchased this uke for my wife so she could have the fun of playing songs. She has arthritis and needed something to help keep her fingers limber. This Vangoa Uke is well built. There are no rough fret ends. The finish is perfect and it sounds great. It is not the best uke out there but is a good uke to learn on. Vangoa also makes good 12 string guitars. I would like to get one for me.

I bought this for my 13-year-old daughter for christmas. She does not play any instrument. It’s been very easy for her to learn.My 15-year-old has tried to steal it away! He plays classical guitar and fell in love with this.The only complaint he has are that his hands are too big. He wants a 23 inch ukele for his birthday.You do need to tune the strings.The sound is pretty and so is the design.Really quality instrument and items.Great price and product!

Wonderful beginner Uke
This ukelele set is a great way to become a uke player. The set has everything you need. The items included that I have really gotten much use from include the case (it even has a bit of padding for protection and backpack type straps), the tuner, the strap, and the uke. I haven’t yet needed to change my strings and I’ve been playing it for about seven months. I don’t use the picks.I purchased this set after wanting to try the uke, but not wanting to invest a lot of money into, potentially, another hobby that I would discard quickly. The reviews were helpful and everyone seemed to love this little uke. They weren’t wrong! This is a great uke for beginners. For a very entry-level uke, the sound is great. It holds its tuning pretty well. I was at a big box store a while back while my hubby was shopping and they had entry-level ukes on display. I tried tuning one so I could play while he was shopping. It wouldn’t hold the tuning long enough for me to move on to the next strings. This uke is not like that at all. It’s just plain pretty, too. There are several great musicians on YouTube who do 30 Day Uke Challenges who have wonderful lessons to get you started. I really love Bernadette Teaches Music.If you are looking for a low cost way to try out the uke, you will not be disappointed with this.

It looks pretty boring, so I gave it a slight paint job!As for the quality, it’s good! The strings have to be tuned quite often when you first start, and the bag is very flimsy. But it’s great for a beginner or a low intermediate player!

I’m a beginner so I was expecting the quality of something you find in a “dollar store” stand at a flea market. I was very surprised to open the box and see an instrument that has the look and feel of a guitar. It’s very easy to play. The one issue is that it needs to be retuned frequently. I’m sure it just needs to be broken in though.

Very nice to play. I believe it’s a keeper. For the price, it displays lovely and sounds nice…However, I’ll be honest, I do also own a concert sized Oscar Schmidt OU2 (smaller than this tenor) – the sound tone and volume are almost about the same, of course this tenor has a edge in tone – but not that noticeably better. But yet, it’s a keeper and it will be my performing uke.The thing I love about a ukulele in general, is the ease of portability – without the need of an amp. So, I can carry a uke anywhere – and if there is a live vocal mic, simply raise the uke closer to the mic and I’m good to go…. good enough and no set up. No built in pickups, which is fine – those just cost more and dampen the natural acoustic sound when it’s unplugged – I don’t need that.

An excellent instrument for the price range. The pictures almost perfectly convey what you receive. The strings are comfortable, and the action (distance between strings and the fret board) is perfect. The ukulele is sturdy, and the tuners works great.I don’t use picks, but these seem okay. The cloth is nice, and the digital tuner is extremely accurate.The padded gig bag is of good quality, and the zipper hasn’t had any issues so far. The pocket perfectly fits everything the uke coems with.The only minor annoyance is the strap. In the picture it’s brown and in real life it’s black. But that is such an incredibly minor inconvenience.Overall great deal

I love the look and feel of this ukulele. I am in my 70’s and an absolute beginner on ukulele, so I didn’t want to purchase an expensive instrument at first, in case I didn’t enjoy it. I used to have a cheaper ukulele before I got this one, and once you hold this in your hands, you can immediately tell that its higher quality. sound is great! some people have a problem of the use constantly going out of tune, but you just have to break in the strings first due to the nylon being so elastic. definitely recommend!

This is an awesome little ukulele for the price. It’s super cute, with decorative etching around the sound hole. This really is the perfect setup for a beginner; comes with everything needed to start your uke journey. In addition to the main case, which has a little zipper pouch in the front, you also get a decent sized little zip bag to store any extras. Only one small complaint; the battery to the tuner did not work.

This has been a great instrument for my daughter to take lessons on and play. I read the reviews of others before purchasing and one professional guitarist spoke highly of this one. He warned that the strings might go out of tune for the first little while, but after they’ve stretched, they should hold a tune just fine. That’s been our experience, she had to tune quite a bit at first, but it will now hold it’s tune wonderfully. It is a beautiful uke with great craftsmanship and has held up really well in the back and forth everyday to elementary school, as well as countless hours of play. It has great acoustics and sounds beautiful.

My daughter loves this ukelele.
I’m by no means a musician, but I think this was a great buy. My 10 yo wanted to start playing ukulele, so I decided to look into them. I opted for this one because I didn’t want a cheap toy, but didn’t want to spend a fortune in case she decides she doesn’t like it as much as she thought she would. The reviews seemed positive across the board, and the price was right, so we went with this one. It pretty much came with everything she’d need, including extra strings. I was impressed by the quality, it looks professional and feels comfortable to hold. The carrying bag is good quality as well, which was a nice bonus. I was honestly expecting a cheap nylon uke shaped bag. This actually has some padding to it. The only thing I’ve noticed, which I presume is normal, is that it took about a month of playing and tuning for the strings to actually stay tuned once she started plucking away. Like I said, after about a month of playing that hasn’t been a problem. Overall, I’m thrilled with this purchase, as is my daughter. I’m pretty sure she’ll be sticking to it for a while. She’s been watching YouTube videos to learn, and it’s got me interested in trying it out. Who knows, I may be getting a second one. 😊

I’ve a professional musician and I’ve been playing a standard (concert) sized uke for some time now, this tenor definitely has a good bit more low-end and full sound. The quality seems very good, better than I expected at this price. All the extras it comes with are really insane at this price, the case is totally usable, the strap is excellent, and having extra strings on hand is always a good thing, and the clip-on tuner is excellent. And speaking of the tuner, be prepared to set it to the ukulele setting if you are not already familiar with the notes a uke is tuned to (long-press to turn the tuner on and then keep pressing until it says ukulele) … and be prepared: nylon strings stretch a LOT at first, so you’ll need to retune a LOT until the strings get stretched in. I made a little video (my 8-year old held the phone/camera 🙂
